Ward Split

It's been a wild ride for us the past couple weeks. Our ward has been split and we are now in the Foxboro 5th Ward. Wow, what a young ward it is. Cody is the only active young man in the ward, and there are no girls Bonnie's age in the ward. I guess this is just our lot in life, to have our kids out of sinc with those we live around. But that's okay. It's good for the kids and hopefully they will be stronger, and learn to be good leaders because of their needed service. We'll have to see what the next couple weeks bring as far as callings.

This also makes me worry a bit about Cody's scouting. It felt like a struggle to get him going, and now I feel like we're going to have to start over again. At this rate, he'll be lucky to get his eagle!!

Would they consider combining wards? (for scouting) If the program is not a good one in your ward, maybe pulling him out of that one and moving him into another one? We are CS leaders (Bears/Webelos) for our ward. I've noticed a lot of boys in our ward go to other dens...not sure how it works for BS, though. Good luck!

Will you still at least have Brady Haws to help him? Maybe he could go with another ward? Cody is such a wonderful kid that I am glad I got to know, I am sure he will be fine....Eagle or not :)
